Documentary Projects in Development
The folowing projects are begin worked on as time and money are availalbe. We need your help without which we cannot complete them. Because of the niche market these products are boradcast and sold in, we look to Associate Producers to help us fund about 50% of the cost. The balance of the costs we are able to fund from revenue. If you contribute to these projects financially we will make sure you not only get an Associate Producer's credit, but also a complimentary copy of the project when we're done.

Documentary History and Clients at SWC Films
Stan Williams and his associates have produced hundreds of projects for all sizes of organizations from Fortune 100 corporations to small non-profits. Projects have spanned the breath of communication campaigns from corporate announcements, to international training conferences, to dramatic films, to music videos, to interactive information systems, and to fund raising image DVDs. Schedules and budgets vary accordingly, as does the originating medium from motion picture film, to standard or high-definition video, to DVDs, web-streaming, along with coordinated print collaterial materials.
Shot during winter of 2009-2010, the boat, SIGNATURE ONE, is owned by Scott Gregory at the Gregory Boat Basin in Detroit. That spring and summer we edited the project. We did it as a marketing piece for the Gregory Service and Restoration Departments. The whole story is told with visuals, music, and superimposed type. Pure visual storytelling.
When we got done we showed it to WTVS (Detroit Public TV) thinking it might make a good midnight 40-minute filler. They enjoyed it so much that they offered to use it as prime-time pledge break if we could find a matching sponsor. There were enough companies involved in the project, but no one could afford the matching pledge liability (they must have thought a lot of people would be watching). So the premiere airing got bumped to March 19, 2011 (a Saturday) at noon.
The next weeks were spent color correcting the project and preparing the elements for up-resing from standard definition to HD. We shot it on a Panasonic DVX-100A at 24P with the help of a wide angle anamorphic lens adaptor. The combination of the small size, the low light sensitivity, and the extra wide angle allowed us to get in spots that even with the Panasonic 200 DVX HD would have been impossible. Lots of fun, a truck load of work, but very satisfying. You can watch the entire project below.
MADE IN MICHIGAN
An image film for Orchard Lake Schools, a 120 year old Catholic institution consisting of SS. Cyril & Methodious Seminary, St. Mary's College of Madonna University, and St. Mary's Preparatory for Boys. The film, shot over 4 months, traces the institution's Polish heritage from the Vatican to Orchard Lake, Michigan. Archbishop Adam Cardinal Maida provides introductions in both English and Polish. A companion film was also produced for just the Prep School, and one for the seminary will be complete in 2008. The films were aired on at varioius time since on CTND, the Detroit Cable TV network.

BIG YACHT RE-POWER (as seen on PBS TV)
is the gritty inspirational documentary about the repowering of a classic Hatteras 53-foot motor yacht with two massive new diesel engines. It's a fast-paced forty-minutes featuring a handful of savvy marine technicians at the Gregory Boat Basin, a 100-year old Detroit marina, who upgrade the engines and technology on the old but beautiful boat, turning it into the faster boat of its kind on the water.
